GovDeed

Terms of Use

Plain rules for using GovDeed. If something here is unclear, ask before you rely on it.

Last updated September 5, 2026

1. Who we are

GovDeed is operated by Barthelemy Holdings, Inc., a Florida company. These terms are a contract between you and us. Using the site means you accept them.

2. What the site is

GovDeed collects public auction records published by Florida county clerks and federal agencies, puts publicly available area data next to them, and shows the result with the source and the date. It is an information service.

It is not an auction, a marketplace, a broker, a lender, or an adviser. Nothing on the site is an offer to sell property, a bid, or a recommendation to bid. Every sale happens on the county's own site under the county's rules.

3. Accuracy

We read the county sites every night and again on sale mornings, and we show when each one was last read. Records change between reads: parcels are redeemed, canceled, moved and added. The county's record controls. Where our number differs from the county's, the county is right.

Area rent and value figures come from Zillow Research and describe a ZIP code, never a specific property. Scores and memos are generated from the record and area data, and say so.

4. Your account

You sign in with a code emailed to you. You are responsible for the mailbox that receives it. One person per account, except a second seat on plans that include one. You may not share access, scrape the site, or resell its data.

5. Paid plans

Paid plans are billed by Stripe. Every paid plan starts with a 7 day free trial, once per customer, with a card on file. When the trial ends the plan begins billing automatically at the price shown on the pricing page, unless you cancel first. All paid plans renew automatically at the same price and interval until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops the next charge and keeps your access to the end of the paid period. See Refunds.

Metered items such as memos reset with each billing period and do not roll over.

6. Introductions and calls

Some tools introduce you to third parties: property managers, lenders, title companies, contractors. They are not GovDeed, they hold their own licenses, and any agreement is between you and them. GovDeed takes no referral fee and no share of any commission or fee they charge. A call booked on the site is a walk-through of the product by our team. It is not brokerage, lending or legal advice.

7. What we are not liable for

To the extent Florida law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from a decision to bid or not to bid, from a record that changed after we read it, from a sale that was canceled or redeemed, from title defects, liens, condition or occupancy of any property, or from downtime. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Ending things

You can delete your account by writing to support@govdeed.com. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms. These terms are governed by Florida law, and any dispute is heard in Orange County, Florida.
